Northam

Northam PCYC is the place for young people go in Northam, working closely with schools, community groups, the WA Police and other agencies to offer a vast range of sports and alternative education programs for young people, with food and transport home often included.

Northam PCYC delivers Stepping Stones – an alternative education program free of charge for young people in year 11 or 12 that for a variety of reasons are not attending school. Funded by the Department of Education, the course covers basic numeracy and literacy and many other topics including health and well-being, resume writing, applying for jobs, computer skills and first aid, amongst others.

  • Boxing

Boxing has been a key activity at PCYC since it began as the Police Boys Club in 1941. Over the years it has continued to develop and is still to date, one our most popular recreational activities. All of our boxing classes cater to all fitness levels and ages.

  • FreeG

FreeG caters for young people looking to participate in adrenaline fuelled freestyle sports.

  • Gymnastics

PCYC provides a range of gymnastics classes from beginners to state and national squad levels, designed to allow children to progress appropriately, at their own pace.

  • Boxsport

Junior Boxing for skills, fun and fitness!

  • Karate

Karate provides a great platform for children and adults alike to strengthen all aspects of health and fitness, learn self-defence techniques, and improve self-confidence and general wellbeing. These classes are delivered by experienced and long term instructors who train regularly. We have many parents and children training alongside each other, and new members are always welcome. Female only classes are also offered, with a Female instructor.
