PCYC’s Safeguarding Manager Leads National Child Protection Forum

16 July 2025

WA PCYC’s Safeguarding Manager, Andrea Musulin, played a lead role in the 8th National Child Protection Forum held in Brisbane this year. Representing WA PCYC, Andrea facilitated a three-hour workshop on Responding to Harmful Sexual Behaviours, offering practical insights into early identification, intervention, and best-practice approaches using a layered continuum. The session was well attended and highlighted WA PCYC’s ongoing commitment to being at the forefront of safeguarding practices.

In addition to the workshop, Andrea also chaired the forum’s Thursday program, helping to guide discussions among professionals, researchers, and service leaders from across the country. The day’s conversations focused on national priorities, emerging risks, and shared responsibilities in creating safer environments for children and young people.

WA PCYC values the opportunity to be part of this national dialogue and remains committed to promoting safe, inclusive spaces where young people can thrive.
