A remarkable opportunity awaits a passionate and dedicated individual to join the team at our Gosnells Centre, as a casual Recreational Coach (Early Childhood).

PCYC KinderSports is a new program providing programs and lessons focusing on motor skill development to young children through a rolling rotation of sport mediums. This role will work closely with our Activities Coordinator to plan and prepare for lessons while taking the lead in delivery of the programs to a range of young children between the ages of 12 months to 5 years old. The Recreational Coach (Early Childhood) will ensure a professional standard of supervision, training and service is maintained at all times. In addition to developing their motor skills our programs serve as a platform for social development and inclusion – fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.
About the role:
The Recreational Coach (Early Childhood) will be leading the delivery of our KinderSports program. Responsibilities include:

• Facilitating the effective delivery of programs and lessons to young children.
• Determining the medium of sport delivery based on community demand in collaboration with the centre Activity Coordinator.
• Providing an encouraging and positive environment to all participants.
• Developing safe and effective workplace culture.
• Representing PCYC within the local community and developing stakeholder relationships.

About you:

• Experience in early childhood and junior sports coaching, or similar instructional environment.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering and evaluating motor skill development programs with young children from diverse backgrounds.
• Passionate about building up new programs and building communities of participants.
