WA PCYC are on the lookout for a Senior Youth Worker to support the delivery of newly established Youth Services at Midland PCYC. The Senior Youth Worker will be responsible for leading the development, delivery and evaluation of a wide range of innovative and engaging programs across Youth Services, including recreational, cultural and educational activities within the safeSPACE™ Connect and Play our Way programs.
PCYC is the leading WA youth organisation, working with the WA Police Force, Community and Government Agencies to ensure that young people across WA reach their potential. This all happens from our 16 centres located from Albany in the South, to Kununurra in the North-West.

About the role:
Reporting directly to the Program Coordinator, the Senior Youth Worker will:
- Support the successful implementation of a basketball program delivered by Perth Lynx aimed at reducing barriers to participation for female young people in sport.
- Deliver effective targeted programs and workshops to young people.
- Deliver best practice youth work across PCYC centres.
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop and deliver engaging, impactful programs that supports the well-being and safety of at-risk youth.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating outcomes and implementing best practices, developing safe and effective workplace practice.

About you:
- Tertiary Qualification in Youth/Community or related areas (A minimum Cert IV is highly desirable).
- Ability to work evenings and Saturday mornings
- Demonstrated experience in delivering and evaluating youth programs
- Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds, including their families.
- Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and have a good understanding of the issues facing First Nations people
- Passionate about re-engaging young people through building positive professional relationships and utilising a strength based, person centred, trauma aware, solutions focused approach
- Possess high level written and interpersonal skills and competent in using Microsoft packages and other computer programs
- Ability to practice to the standards of WA Youth Work Code of Ethics
- Willing to obtain a National Police Clearance issued within the 6-month period and Working with Children Check.
- Possess a full unrestricted Drivers licence
