A bus full of opportunities
Thanks to State Government funding, Carnarvon PCYC were able to purchase a new bus to transport local children and young people to activities and locations that they otherwise might not have access to, as well as delivering essential food packs to families in need.
Carnarvon PCYC safeSPACE™ participants were taken for a spin in their new bus to visit the Quobba Blowholes.
With PCYC providing transport, the excursion provided many young people with an opportunity to explore beyond their local town for the first time.
The new bus, complete with a microphone provided endless entertainment throughout the trip, as children sung along to their favourite songs.
After visiting the Blowholes, PCYC kids enjoyed playing sport and splashing in the water as they watched the sun go down.
Carnarvon PCYC have also been able to use the bus to deliver over 100 healthy meals, face masks and fresh fruit to local families each week to help keep them safe and healthy during the challenging times of COVID-19.
We can’t wait to see where the children go and how the Centre will help the community next!
