PCYC welcomes Commonwealth Attorney General the Hon. Mark Dreyfus KC, MP

PCYC was delighted to welcome the Commonwealth Attorney General, the Hon. Mark Dreyfus KC MP, Tania Lawrence MP, and Trish Cook, Labor candidate for Bullwinkel, to Midland PCYC on 25th February 2025. While the Attorney General faced some tough questioning on politics and electioneering from our young safeSPACE™ participants, for Tania and Trish – who had both attended PCYC in the past – it was a homecoming!

The Albanese Government’s generous funding for PCYC’s U25-GO programs has enabled the creation of our new, bespoke safeSPACE™ Connect service, now operating from four Perth Metropolitan centres.

We are also running our new girls’ basketball program in Midland, again made possible by the Albanese government’s Play Our Way funding. We were delighted that Sam Macpherson and Alaska Rhebok from our key partner, Perth Lynx, took the time to meet Mark, Tania, and Trish, and shoot some baskets with us.

The programs enabled by this funding are making a real difference for young people in Perth. PCYC is very grateful for the support.
