Six young athletes wrestle their way to the podium at 2023 WA Cup

The Subiaco PCYC wrestling team achieved impressive results at the WA Cup 2023, with six young athletes earning medals in their respective weight categories. A big congratulations to Cesare Roth and Kilian Roberts who both won gold medals. Max Roth, Alex Roth and Lewis Faulkner earned silver medals in their respective categories while Ben Faulkner took home a bronze medal. An amazing effort by all!

The team's success can be attributed to the diligent training efforts of their primary Coach Dyota Tanuwibawa, and other Coaches, Jon Tan, John Geyer, Carol But, and Chris Samios. Dyota, a seasoned wrestler himself, has developed a strong rapport with the boys and has proven to be a valuable asset to the team.

The Subiaco PCYC wrestling team has experienced significant growth in recent years, with a rise in membership thanks to the exceptional coaching.

As the club continues to grow, another athlete from Subiaco PCYC, Kilian Roberts, has his sights set on competing in the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games. With a family background in athletics, including his uncle's participation in wrestling world championships and his mother's veteran status as a marathon champion, Kilian is poised for success.
