Thank You Bunbury!

Published: July 11, 2024 9:08am

It’s been two months since our cherished Bunbury PCYC was impacted by the tornado that caused extensive damage across the South West. Although it will take time for our Centre to be fully operational again, we have successfully reactivated our key programs and activities. This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of the local community.

From generously sourcing equipment for our recreational activities to securing alternative venues for our critical safeSPACE™ program, the Bunbury community has been instrumental in helping us get back on track and continuing our mission to support children and young people.

We are deeply moved by the help and compassion individuals and businesses have shown us during this period, showcasing the true spirit of this great community.

With heartfelt gratitude, we extend our sincere thanks to all who have supported PCYC during this challenging time:

PCYC was recently invited by WAPOL to attend the “Light & Sirens” Emergency Services AFL round at Optus Stadium. Recognising this as a fantastic opportunity to uplift those most affected by the tornado, we invited young people and staff from Bunbury's safeSPACE™ program to watch the Gold Coast Suns and Fremantle face off. The day was made even more special by a triumphant win for Fremantle. (photos coming)
